FACILITIES COORDINATOR

Compensation:            $58,955-$66,323 Salary

Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented On-Site Facilities Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment that supports the mission and culture of Overture.

This role is 100% on-site at our headquarters in Waukegan, IL


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform minor repairs for plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues as needed.
  • Maintain the vehicle fleet (currently one box truck), including regular maintenance, repairs, and cleaning.
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance and repairs for all equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, pickers, ladders, etc.).
  • Contact and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers (e.g., landscaping, plumbing, electrical) via phone and email.
  • Solicit and gather bids for facility-related projects; share costs and contracts with management for approval.
  • Communicate vendor scheduling with staff to minimize disruption to daily operations.
  • Collaborate with the management team to meet all facilities-related needs and requirements.
  • Ensure all safety and emergency equipment is properly maintained and regularly tested.
  • Lead and manage facility-related projects, including renovations, relocations, and new construction.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in facilities management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in using facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
